1. General Disclaimer

The content available on this website, including articles, insights, guides, FAQs, and any other published material (collectively, "Content"), is provided for general informational purposes only. It does not constitute legal advice, regulatory advice, financial advice, tax advice, or any other form of professional advice, and should not be relied upon as such.

Content is necessarily general in nature and may not reflect the most current legal or regulatory developments, particularly given the rapidly evolving nature of the technology, Web3, artificial intelligence, and fintech sectors in which Block Legal operates. Laws and regulations vary significantly by jurisdiction and are subject to change, including with retrospective effect in some cases.

2. No Attorney-Client or Advisor-Client Relationship

Accessing this website, reading our Content, submitting a general enquiry, or corresponding with any person associated with Block Legal does not create an attorney-client relationship, a solicitor-client relationship, an advisor-client relationship, or any other professional relationship between you and Block Legal or any of its affiliated entities. Such a relationship is established only through the execution of a specific, written Engagement Letter with the relevant Block Legal entity.

Until such an Engagement Letter is in place, you should not send us confidential or sensitive information, and any information you do send will not be treated as privileged or confidential except to the extent required by applicable professional conduct rules or law.

3. Group Structure

Block Legal operates internationally through a group of affiliated entities, each separately constituted and operating under the regulatory and professional conduct framework applicable to its jurisdiction of registration. Some affiliated entities are licensed law firms; others provide compliance, regulatory advisory, or consultancy services and are not themselves authorised to practise law in their jurisdiction of registration. The specific entity responsible for any matter, and its regulatory status, is disclosed to you directly and confirmed in writing prior to formal engagement.

Each entity within the Block Legal group is responsible only for the services it directly provides. Engagement of one entity does not, by itself, constitute engagement of any other entity within the group. Where a matter requires coordination across entities or jurisdictions, this will be addressed expressly in the applicable Engagement Letter(s).

4. Jurisdictional Limitations

No part of the Block Legal group holds itself out as licensed or authorised to practise law in every jurisdiction referenced on this website or in our marketing materials. References to global reach, jurisdictional coverage, or international capability describe the advisory and coordination capacity of the group as a whole, including through affiliated entities, referral relationships, and local counsel networks, and should not be read as a representation that any single entity is independently licensed in every jurisdiction mentioned.

Where advice on the law of a specific jurisdiction is required, that advice will only be provided by, or under the supervision of, personnel and entities appropriately qualified in that jurisdiction, or will be sourced through a duly engaged local counsel relationship, as set out in the applicable Engagement Letter.

5. Not a Substitute for Independent Advice

You should not act, or refrain from acting, on the basis of any Content on this website without seeking independent legal or professional advice specific to your circumstances. Block Legal accepts no responsibility for any loss or damage arising from reliance on Content in the absence of a formal engagement and specific advice tailored to your situation.

6. No Guarantee of Results

References on this website to past engagements, outcomes, or client experiences are illustrative only and do not constitute a guarantee, warranty, or prediction of the outcome of any future or prospective matter. Past results do not guarantee similar outcomes, given that each matter depends on its specific facts, applicable law, and regulatory context at the relevant time.

7. Regulatory and Licensing Status

Where this website references regulatory frameworks, licences, or authorisations (including but not limited to VARA, ADGM, DIFC, MiCA, FCA, SEC, or other regulatory regimes), such references are for informational and illustrative purposes regarding our advisory experience and should not be construed as a representation that Block Legal, or any specific affiliated entity, holds a particular regulatory licence or authorisation unless expressly stated otherwise in writing at the time of engagement.

No part of the Block Legal group provides regulated financial advisory services, investment advisory services, or fiduciary services requiring a specific financial services licence, unless such licence is separately and expressly held by the relevant entity and disclosed to you in writing.

8. Professional Conduct and Advertising Compliance

Block Legal and its affiliated entities comply with the professional conduct, advertising, and solicitation rules applicable in each jurisdiction in which they operate. Where local professional conduct rules restrict advertising or solicitation of legal services (including, without limitation, rules governing the legal profession in certain jurisdictions that prohibit direct advertising or solicitation by advocates), information relating to services in that jurisdiction is provided only upon your own request and initiative, and nothing on this website should be construed as advertising, solicitation, or inducement contrary to such rules.

If you are seeking legal services in a specific jurisdiction, please contact us directly, and you will be referred to the appropriate entity within the Block Legal group in accordance with applicable professional conduct rules.

9. Third-Party Content and Links

This website may reference, link to, or summarise third-party content, including news articles, regulatory publications, and external resources. Such references are provided for convenience and informational purposes only. Block Legal does not endorse, and is not responsible for, the accuracy, completeness, or currency of third-party content.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Block Legal disclaims all liability for any loss or damage, whether direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or otherwise, arising from or in connection with reliance on Content available on this website, in the absence of a formal Engagement Letter governing a specific matter. Nothing in this disclaimer limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law.

11. Updates to This Disclaimer

This Legal Disclaimer may be updated from time to time without prior notice. The version published on our website at the time of access governs.
